A Transformative Experience: Inspiring Change Through the Inaugural Project HER Guyana Women in Project Management Workshop 2025!
Over 200 women gathered at the Pegasus Suites, Atlantic Conference Centre to break barriers and inspire change. From boardrooms to construction sites, these rising project management professionals are rewriting the narrative and demonstrating the powerful impact of recognizing, empowering, and supporting women.
The inaugural Project HER Guyana Women in Project Management Workshop held on March 29, 2025, was nothing short of transformational. Held under the theme “Recognizing and Inspiring Her in the Field of Project Management,” the workshop provided a platform to honor, educate, and empower women striving to make an impact in the field of project management.
A Vision for Women’s Leadership in Project Management
The event opened with a surge of energy and enthusiasm, reflecting a shared commitment to uplifting women in leadership roles. Mr. Eusi Evelyn, Managing Director of Green State Oil and Gas Services Inc., set the tone for the workshop by sharing his vision behind Project HER Guyana.
” When we talk about recognition and influence, something struck me during the planning of this project—a moment that stopped me in my tracks. I thought about the many incredible women I’ve met along the way—women who have toiled quietly behind the scenes, lifting others, empowering communities, and creating real change. And yet, no one was pausing to say thank you. No one was shining a light on their sacrifices, their strength, or their unwavering commitment to others.
That moment gave birth to this initiative.
At Green State Oil and Gas Services Inc., we believe it’s time to change the narrative. We’re here to celebrate HER—the changemakers, the pathbreakers, the unsung heroes in project management and beyond. We’re here to say: We see you. We value you. We honor you. This isn’t just about recognition—it’s about making every woman who has laboured in the shadows feel seen, heard and honored as we influence the next generation of women.” Mr. Evelyn remarked.

With over 20 years of experience in project management, he emphasized the critical role of women in driving successful projects and initiatives. His goal? To honor their contributions, create pathways for future female leaders, and break barriers in traditionally male-dominated spaces.
